European Scrap Work Jacket
I have been designing European Scrap Work Pillows and Market Totes so I figured, why not a jacket?!
I used the same design method of sewing together bits and pieces of my beloved European Linen Hemp textiles, vintage needlepoints, and other vintage textiles. This creates one large piece of fabric from which I then cut my pattern pieces. This is always so much fun to see what pattern will be created with the fabrics once they are cut.
The jacket is a kimono-style jacket with ample room and full-flow look when moving. Nothing stuffy about this piece of wearable art. The bodice of the jacket is fully lined with a nice silk lining. The sleeves are beautiful and full. Love the drape and added detail they provide.
This piece is medium weight and would be perfect for the spring and fall months when you want the layering look that a light weight jacket provides. This kimono-style jacket would look fantastic in the spring with a simple tee or tank. Pair that with jeans, your favorite boho necklace, leather clogs and you will be walking into spring with style. Pair with a classic black turtleneck in the fall and winter months.
It is sized Med/Large { max 50” Chest/ 20” Jacket Length}
